KitchenAid Pasta Attachment

Wow I was spoiled this Christmas! I have wanted the KitchenAid Pasta Attachment ever since I got my first KitchenAid Stand Mixer years ago. Everyone loves fresh pasta and now that I can actually make it I can't wait to try it out and share what I am learning, I think I when I get really good at it I might even through a dinner party!

Unboxing the Pasta Attachments there are three pieces that come within the box, the pasta roller, spaghetti cutter and fettuccine cutter. Additionally there is a cleaning brush, instruction booklet and the beginner instructions. The box is small but the weight of the attachments is quite heavy and the quality is amazing.

At first this can seem quite intimidating and I am a bit intimidated by it. I have never made pasta before but luckily there is Pinterest, TikTok, Reddit, Google etc. to teach everything I need to know about making pasta. The very first thing I looked up is how to clean it which is very important. You cannot submerge or get water on the attachments or they can rust and corrode rendering them useless. What I have looked up is you let them dry for about an hour after use and the brush that is included gently scrap off the excess dried dough and for any stubborn pieces use a wooden toothpick to clean, do not clean it out with any other piece of metal.

I finally got up the courage to make the pasta and it was so easy! Much easier than what I thought it would be. I will post another entry on how to make pasta. Anyone who is looking to buy one I highly recommend it and now I can't go back to boxed pasta.

Now what's next on the accessories is an ice cream maker but we will see!

As always Happy Hygge!
