Sundays Back Home
Today has been quite the busy Sunday. Always with getting home from travelling there is a ton of stuff to do; laundry, cleaning the house, getting rid of the little flies and spiders that were in our house, getting food and getting the house back to normal.
Today started early this morning with an Amazon delivery. I finally splurged and got Olaplex No. 3 and tried it out today and my hair is looking fine. I also got a filing system for all the paperwork I brought over whether it be for my immigration, old bank statements or random other paperwork. I plan to do all this organizing tomorrow I ran out of steam today. After this delivery I got another Amazon delivery with printer paper and photo paper, because of course I bought a printer for school and didn't buy paper with it.
When I decided to come here permanently I left behind my KitchenAid Stand Mixer in Canada which I used every week. I love to cook and bake and this is a kitchen appliance is a must to me so I waited for the sale and finally got one delivered today. There was a sale over here that I could get the slightly more powerful one with 4 attachments, 2 bowls and the guard as well as the bread bowl which I have been meaning to learn to bake my own bread and this will make it so much easier. The final delivery of the day was our grocery delivery. We needed everything after being away for so long so it was quite a large haul but now we finally have food yay! More on that later when I make dinner.
I needed to clean the house today it was so dusty and the floors needed a good hoovering (I'm turning British already!) and mopping, bathrooms to be cleaned and a good dusting everywhere. To top it all off the power went out for awhile about a week before we got home so I needed to clear out the freezer of everything that had gone bad. It needed to be done anyways but the impending grocery delivery made me actually get it done. As well as four loads of laundry but I am so happy with everything I've accomplished today.
After all the cleaning James and I were starving so I just whipped up one of my favourite easy meals. It is chicken with spinach and cream sauce. So easy and quick to make as well as delicious. I will be making another post with the recipe and I highly suggest you try it out.
Finally we are finally back in the studio doing the show we were supposed to do yesterday without the technical difficulties. A lovely end to a busy Sunday and now I think I will make a nice cup of tea, listen to the rest of the show and complete my drawings for the start of term.
Happy Hygge and I hope you had a great Sunday Funday!
