Busy Day Hygge

Today I had a crazy day! I was up before dawn today to go to the County where my trailer is parked and trying to get it sold before I leave for England. I also saw my little doggy and it was nice seeing my parents.

Just because a day is crazy doesn't mean you can't make some time to enjoy the day. I needed to get a gift for my cousins wedding as well as new tea bag holder as I broke mine awhile ago. I asked my Mum if she wanted to go shopping on the main street (shop local!) and we had a wonderful late morning shopping, talking and enjoying the day. When we finished I asked my Mum if I could take her and my Dad to lunch.

There is a little restaurant by the water called The Lighthouse Restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch and it is a popular place but of course it is delicious and the service is amazing. We have enjoyed going there since my folks bought their place in Prince Edward County over a decade ago and it has been consistently amazing ever since. It was so enjoyable to be with them and to talk, enjoy good food and catch up.

Even on my busiest days I always try and take a little time to relax, eat some good food and talk with my loved ones. It can be as easy as sitting down to dinner (even just takeout) for half an hour, taking a walk or sitting down to chat for a few minutes about your day. Everyone gets busy with work, school, household chores and social lives but it doesn't mean that you can't sit and enjoy a few minutes of every day with the ones that you love.

Happy Hygge!
